Maria, the wife of Antonio, the lord of the castle, has just died, but her body, barely cold, flinches when touched at the morgue. This causes her daughter Mirja to have a nervous breakdown and her spirit is taken over by her dead mother. From then on, death roams the castle and more and more of the castle’s inhabitants are being murdered from behind. Who will be next? Antonio’s paralysed brother Ignazio, who stalks the nun in his wheelchair? Ignacio’s carer in the shape of Nurse Sol, who wears outrageous lingerie under her habit? The family doctor Dr Suarez, who has to embalm the dead Maria with horse syringes? Or the factotum Isidro, who rambles on about the return of the Antichrist and disposes of corpses in the sewers?
